Ms. Martin brings over 30 years of healthcare expertise to Elite Perioperative Coaching. With a diverse background in leadership, precepting, OR circulating, critical care, and education, she has demonstrated her commitment to excellence. Ms. Martin’s 4-year tenure as a consultant with Periop Accreditation Readiness, LLC involved conducting “mock” TJC surveys, teaching AORN Periop 101 classes, and remodeling operating rooms for reduced surgical site infections.
Her impactful contributions extend to preparing hospitals for TJC surveys, implementing corrective action plans, and mentoring OR nurses. Ms. Martin’s proficiency in infection control, especially in operating rooms, ensures hands-on consulting that drives necessary changes for safe, quality care. She is well-versed in PICC line placement and imparts methodology and rationale in perioperative and critical care.
As a former Texas state surveyor and investigator for Long-Term Care Facilities, Ms. Martin excelled in infection control and regulatory assessments. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a pivotal role in evaluating operational processes in Denver, Colorado, conducting offsite “live” drills for testing centers, and contributing her skills to ICUs and Emergency Departments.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Martin’s personal experience has motivated her to become a Certified Life/Grief Coach. She dedicates her spare time to support families through the challenging journey of losing a loved one. With 30 years of nursing expertise, including 20 years as an OR Circulator and in Critical Care, along with 9 years in traveling preceptorship, consulting, and leadership roles. Ms. Martin is an indispensable asset to our Perioperative Coaching Bootcamp. As the instructor, she ensures your OR nurses’ proficiency and efficiency, making her an invaluable addition to our team.
